Santos

Santos Santos was founded in 1954, Santos has been active in the energy business for more than 50 years. Its name was an acronym for South Australia Northern Territory Oil Search. Now it is a major Australian oil and gas exploration and production company with interests and operations in every major Australian petroleum province and in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, India, Kyrgyzstan and Egypt. Woodside

Woodside Woodside was formed in 1954 and has its headquarters in Perth, Western Australia. Today, it has almost 3000 staff and is listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (WPL). And it is Australia's largest publicly traded oil and gas exploration and production company with a market capitalisation of A$30 billion (US$26.5 billion). Woodside has a portfolio of assets, projects, development opportunities and exploration interests in twelve countries spanning five continents. This company sells liquefied natural gas, natural gas, crude oil, condensate and liquid petroleum gas around the world. With proved plus probable reserves of almost 1.6 billion barrels of oil equivalent, in 2006 Woodside produced nearly 68 million barrels of oil equivalent.
