Kyoto Broadcasting System
On December 24, 1951, Kyoto Broadcasting System Company, Ltd. was opened as "Radio Kyoto". Today, this company is a commercial broadcasting station headquartered in Kyoto, Japan. It is also known as "KBS Kyoto" as a television and radio station in Kyoto Prefecture, and "KBS Shiga" as a radio station in Shiga Prefecture. Since April 1, 2005, KBS has started digital television broadcasting on ISDB format.
